I was exposed to high fashion at a very young age. As a child, I was always impressed with my mother’s elegance and flair for style. While growing up in the South of France, I frequently accompanied my mother to the many boutiques in the region. I was immediately drawn to colors, textures, design, and tailoring of women’s clothing and fashion. Through these experiences, I learned an invaluable lesson: the core of a woman’s wardrobe should consist of classic pieces that are expertly designed and made using fine fabrics with precision tailoring. Life’s journey took me from the South of France to other countries in Europe and the United States where I lived, and immersed myself in the richness of art, culture, and design. I developed a discriminating eye for fashion, and worked in high-end boutiques as a stylist, buyer, merchandiser, and manager. As a freelance artist, I also designed window displays for various high-end boutiques in Manhattan, Fairfield, and New Haven County, before establishing Catherine H. in March, 2009. Today, I personally select designers and looks for Catherine H. With every selection, I keep in mind fundamental lessons learned from my mother, and combine them with the richness of my experiences in life and the fashion industry. Every garment is thoughtfully selected, in order to ensure quality and design, while keeping in mind the diverse needs of every woman. At Catherine H., it is my goal to ensure that every guest has a personal and exclusive experience.
